The growing Raymore-Peculiar School District is located just 20 minutes south of Kansas City. The district, which covers 94 square miles, includes the communities of Raymore and Peculiar; small portions of Lee's Summit, Belton and Lake Winnebago; and some unincorporated areas of Cass County.

Today, approximately 5,900 students attend the Ray-Pec Schools

Our facilities include:

• Early Childhood Cottage (includes Parents as Teachers)
• Six elementary schools (grades K-4)
• Two intermediate schools (grades 5-6)
• One middle school (grades 7-8)
• One freshman center (grade 9)
• One high school (grades 10-12)
• Administrative Services Center
• Various support facilities

A second middle school, Raymore-Peculiar East Middle School is under construction on M-58 east of Raymore. The new school will open in fall of 2010.

Thanks to the support of district patrons, the Ray-Pec School District has been able to keep up with the rapid growth by constructing four schools and an Administrative Services Center over the last seven years.
